THE  STYLING Guide

Bridesmaids and Moms

CJ_SP_Colour(10).jpg

WHAT IS AN Appropriate look?

Just like the Bride, us as artists do the best to accommodate and make everyone happy and looking stunning, and we mean it.

There are no hard rules, as every wedding is different. Our goal is always the same: to enhance your natural features, give you a look you love, and make sure it all feels cohesive with the bridal party.

What we don’t do is replicate the bride’s style exactly — this is her moment, and we all know how special that is.

That’s why we always recommend chatting with the bride beforehand about her vision for the bridesmaids’ makeup and hair.

On the day, we’ll tailor each look to suit you personally — no copy-and-paste approach here. And if there’s something you’re not comfortable with, please let us know; we’re happy to adjust little details to make it feel more ‘you’.

For example, if the bride has chosen updos for her party but you’re not used to having all your hair back, we can create soft face-framing pieces so it feels flattering and natural — while still keeping harmony with the group look

UNDERSTAND THE ML Terms

We define each look by how much makeup feels right for you:

Natural:

Effortless and barely there, for bridesmaids leaning towards minimalism

Soft Glam:

Elevated yet Enhanced, you but better

Glam:

Defined, a Sultry twist, for Glamour bridal party

Full Glam:

Bold and Glamour, Smokey eyes

WHAT TO KEEP IN Mind

1. Having your hair and makeup done professionally will feel a little different from how you normally do it yourself — and that’s the fun of it.

If there’s a certain style you really love or something you’d like us to avoid, just let us know beforehand so we can make sure you feel comfortable and confident.

2. Someone will need to go first, and it won't affect how long your makeup will last

Someone has to start the lineup, but don’t worry — it doesn’t change how long your makeup will last. We always do final touch-ups for everyone before we leave, so you’ll feel fresh and camera-ready.

3. Lashes, yes or no?

For weddings, we usually recommend lashes because they make such a difference in photos. Don’t worry, they won’t be big or dramatic — we have a range of styles to suit different eye shapes, from soft and natural to a little more defined. If you’d prefer not to have lashes, that’s absolutely fine too — just let us know in advance.

4. What to do if you cry?

Happy tears are part of weddings! Your artist will show you on the day, but the golden rule is: no rubbing. Look up, gently dab your waterline with a tissue to catch the tears, and let the rest air-dry. That way your makeup stays intact while you enjoy the moment.
