Eyeshadow Do's and Don'ts You Must Take Note Of

We all have different reasons for liking makeup. It could be for the purpose of making us feel our best, hiding features that are deemed undesirable, or helping us to be more brave and powerful in presenting ourselves to the world. Whether you use makeup only on special occasions or as part of your regular routine, makeup has always played a huge role in our lives.

Eyeshadow is a must-have in any eye makeup arsenal. Applying eyeshadow isn't as simple as it appears. There are other factors to consider, like your skin tone, palette, and so on. Regardless of whether you're a pro or a newbie, there are some do's and don'ts to remember in order to keep your lids looking great. Continue reading to learn more!

Do's

1. Use an eyeshadow base or primer.

Using primer on your lids will not only increase the intensity of the shadow pigment but will also ensure that it does not flake and lasts for a long time, just as it is intended.

2. Add dimensions to the look.

Applying dimension to your eyeshadow is essential if you want it to stand out. Take a dark shadow and gently brush it across your crease. If you want to give an extra dimension to the appearance, fill it with more than one eyeshadow.

3. Use the right brush.

Blending is a crucial step in the process since it guarantees that darker shades do not overshadow lighter ones. Choosing the right brush is essential to completing this task correctly. Use a fluffy brush to help you with the application.

Don'ts

1. Don’t begin with dark colors in doing a transition.

When you start with a dark shadow, it's tough to blend the lighter colors since they just blend in and appear sloppy. Instead, begin by adding a gradient with softer shades.

2. Don't use shimmer as a transition shade.

Using shimmer as a transition shade defeats the purpose. This is because it will not properly blend the powders and will reflect light and appear harsh.

Instead, go for a darker matte shade that complements your skin tone. This will result in a stunning shift.

3. Don’t be afraid to experiment.

Makeup is an artistic endeavor. You must have the courage to overcome your fears and try new things. You never know, you might be the one to spark a new makeup craze!
